3pm We’ve got another set of storms coming ashore across Oregon and Northern California. They’re packing high winds and snow levels at two to three feet in the higher elevations above Lake Tahoe. So far, one foot of snow at Lake Tahoe is forecast and up to three feet in the higher elevations.
While it’s expected to be snowy-white up top, there will be rain showers in the lower elevations with possible light snow at lake level this evening. Winds will be howling at 30 to 40 mph making it dangerous for those who are tempted to launch a boat or sailboat trying to harness the late winter winds. Authorities say boating will be very dangerous over the next day or so.
