UPDATED ** press release for robbery suspects
The Carson City Sheriff’s Office Investigation Division is asking for assistance in identifying suspects in an armed robbery that occurred just before 4:00 AM on February 12, 2020..
On February 12, 2022 deputies responded to Golden Gate Petroleum on Lompa Lane in Carson City for a report of an armed robbery. Deputies obtained surveillance videos that showed three subjects walk to Golden Gate Petroleum in black masks. Two subjects entered the store and demanded money while holding a gun to the teller.
Suspect number 1 was wearing light colored jeans, all black converse shoes, black shirt, grey hoodie, black mask and all white gloves. The second male suspect was wearing black ripped jeans, white shirt, white high top shoes, blue hoodie, black mask and all white gloves. The third suspect waiting outside was wearing black adidas sweats with stripes down the side and a grey sweater.
Additional information has been received and the third lookout male has either red or blonde hair.
The suspects left running toward Menlo Drive.
It was later discovered that earlier that morning the Smoke Shop on Curry Street in Carson City had three suspects attempt to burglarize it. They arrived with a crowbar and broke a window trying to get in before running away. The three suspects match the suspects involved in the Robbery at Golden Gate Petroleum.
If anyone has seen friends with large amounts of money recently or money that is uncommon for them to have please take notice. If you have seen anyone like this please contact the Carson City Sheriff’s Office. Secret Witness is offering up to a $1000 reward for anyone with information about the suspects involved in the robbery.
